BLOUNTSTOWN, FL  –   The Panhandle Pioneer  Settlement is offering our Host and Volunteer training again this summer.

We will let you know what type of volunteer positions are available and for those that would like to host in a building, we will give you suggestions for ways to make your presentation interesting and engage your audience. We will also touch on how to handle some common “sticky” situations.

This will include approximately one hour of instruction and additional time at the very end for individual questions and light refreshments.

There will be limited walking, and you can sit if necessary.

We are limiting each workshop to eight participants because of the cabin size.

Training will be offered on the following dates:

•Monday, July 8 at 9 a.m.

•Tuesday,  July 16 at 9 a.m.

•Wednesday, July 24 at 7 p.m.

•Thursday,  August 1 at 7 p.m.

Times listed are Central.

Please contact the Settlement office at (850) 674-2777 to register.

*Please note that this is not a workshop to learn the facts about the cabins but to learn some techniques for presenting the information to our guests. When you volunteer to host a building, we will provide you with the details of the building, including information about the family(s) who lived there.
