Siannah Lollie recognized as Tabula Rasa’s Youth of the Year
BRISTOL – Congratulations to Siannah Lollie, Boys and Girls Club of Tabula Rasa’s Youth of the Year!
The Youth of the Year title is a prestigious honor bestowed upon an exemplary young person in recognition of leadership, service, academic excellence, and dedication to living a healthy lifestyle. Now in its 75th year, the Youth of the Year program honors our nation’s most awe-inspiring young people on their path to great futures.
Earlier this week, Siannah competed for the Florida State Youth of the Year award during which she got some good experience taking part in the interview process and meeting other contestants for the state title. The Liberty County High School sophomore also gave a speech in which she shared her thoughts on the things that matter, her own personal growth and what the local Tabula Rasa Club has meant to her.
Siannah has been a Club member for two years. She credits her Club with helping her develop relationships, supporting her academically, and encouraging her to step outside of her comfort zone. During her Club experience, she has participated in the Keystone Leadership Club and led activities and programs that focus on giving back and volunteering in the community, and mentoring younger members in her club.
“When I first met Siannah, she was very shy and reserved,” recalls Paige Tibbets, Club Director. “Today, I see a hard-working, dedicated young lady who has grown, matured, and leads by example. I am so proud of her.”
