patriotism
July 4, 2026
BRISTOL, FL – Community members came together to commemorate our nation’s 250th year with a colorful and spirited parade along State Road 20 Saturday morning in Bristol.
Local veterans were honored by being asked to serve as Grand Marshals for the event.
The “Musgrove Family Patriots” rode a trailer filled with siblings and cousins that included a giant image of the old Liberty County High School. The banner on the side proclaimed, “We’re Mighty Proud of That Ragged Old Flag.”
With his treat basket in hand, a little boy keeps an eye out as the parade mades its way down SR 20.

ABOVE: The fire truck siren lets everyone know the parade is under way! The two little girls shown here wore some patriotic shirts which read: “My favorite veteran is my aunt.” The float below wove in plenty of red, white and blue along with its surfing theme.

Marchers in period costume display historic flags.
Members of Earthen Vessels Women’s Recovery Group show their spirit for the holiday and celebrate the steps they’ve taken to make changes in their lives by working together as a group.
Families came together to share their patriotism by riding in the parade.
