Obituary – Vera Jean Finuff
BLOUNTSTOWN – Saying goodbye to someone you love and cherish is always difficult. It is with a heavy heart that we announce that on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, Vera Jean (Arnold) Finuff at the age of 88, passed away peacefully of heart failure with family members by her side.
Vera leaves behind her husband Ed of 68 years, and her three children, Charlotte Wheeler (Bill), Helen Whitehead (Roger) and her son Nicky Finuff. Vera has 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Her siblings are Betty Miles of Bristol, LB Arnold of Telogia, Elry Stanley of Hosford and Rodia Sharpton of Havana.
She is preceded in death by her father, Bunk Arnold and mother, Leta Arnold; brothers, Earl and Jerry Arnold; sister, Joyce (Arnold) Pugh and her son, Chadwick Carl Finuff.
Vera was a loving, caring person with a very kind heart, a devoted wife, mother of four children and friend. She always thought of others, had a smile for everyone and an appreciation of simple pleasures of life, “To know her was to love her”.
A graveside memorial will be scheduled at the Finuff Family Cemetery on Old Blue Creek Road with Pastor Author Wood officiating.
