Five injured in head-on
crash Thursday morning

Five people were hurt and one man seriously injured after a 2004 Dodge van ran head on into a 2013 Nissan utility vehicle traveling on SR 20 Thursday morning in Calhoun County, just two miles south of the Bay County line.
The Dodge van crossed over into the oncoming lane and struck the second vehicle. That driver, identified as a 21-year-old man from Georgia, was seriously injured.
The driver of the second vehicle was a 28-year-old man from Florida. He and three passengers were transported to area hospitals with injuries.
Both vehicles were totaled in the 6:41 a.m. crash, which left the roadway partially closed for about two hours.
Fire department crews from Carr-Clarksville responded, along with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, FHP and EMS from both counties.
