Obituary – James Tipton
JAMES ALEXANDER TIPTON
BRISTOL – James Alexander Tipton, 68, of Bristol, passed away on May 25, 2023. James loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed watching western movies and his morning coffee, chewing tobacco, and working with chickens and all kinds of other animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Tipton and Mary Phillips; two grandsons, Gabriel Bledsod and Blake Sims; and his brother, H.C. Tipton.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Tipton of Bristol; three sons, Jason Tipton (Shelia Davis) of Altha, Chase Tipton (Lindsey) of Bristol and James Tipton (Layla Jones) of Bristol; two daughters, Christy Sims (James) of Bascom, and Kandyce Tipton (Dwight) of Altha; aunt, Veleta (Cookie) Pitts of Sneads; three sisters, Louise Tipton of Bristol, Faye Phillips (Nicky) of Bristol, and Celena Mixon of Bonifay; nine grandchildren and several other nieces, nephews and other extended family.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 10 a.m. CT at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. Service will follow at 11 a.m. with Arthur Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Bristol Cemetery.
All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.
