Marianna man dies in

single vehicle accident

MARIANNA – A 69-year-old Marianna man died Saturday following a late night traffic crash at Blue Springs Road and SR 71 in Jackson County.

The SUV was traveling west on Blue Springs Road around 11:15 p.m. when the driver missed the curve, ran off the road and struck a concrete pole supporting the traffic signal, according to the report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Jackson County Fire Rescue assisted FHP at the scene.
