NELLIE MING
OKEECHOBEE – Nellie Alice Ming, 91, died August 19, 2023. She was born July 22, 1932 in Palacios, TX. A resident of Okeechobee for 88 years, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Basinger. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and canning. She was pianist at First Baptist Church of Basinger for 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Melvin Ming, Sr.; father, Bo Thompson; mother, Nellie May Highberg Thompson; brother, Sam Thompson; and sisters, Daisy Mayberry and Linda Aoughsten.
She is survived by her sons, Lamar Ming, Jr. and John Alan Ming (Tammy), all of Okeechobee; daughters, Pamala Ming Anderson (Bill), of Bristol, and Cheryl Ming Daniels, of Okeechobee, ; four grandchildren, Sterling Peacock, Jared Daniels (Kaylin), Erin Ming Todisco, and Alexandria Ming; three great-grandchildren, Michala, Gianna, and Elizabella Todisco; nephews, Joseph Aoughsten, Wensel Aoughsten, and Bo Mayberry (Teresa); and nieces Cindy Mayberry and Sandra Mayberry.
