CR 67 crash leaves
driver with serious
injuries on Sunday
A 55-year-old Dothan, AL man was seriously injured Sunday evening while traveling through Liberty County.
According to the report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver was northbound on CR 67, near Forest Road 111, around 6:40 p.m. when he ran off the road after entering a curve. His pickup truck and trailer went to the right and toward a utility pole. The trailer hit the pole, causing it to break in half. The truck continued on until it hit a tree.
Firefighters were called to the scene after sparks were reported to be coming from the fallen power lines.
FHP was assisted at the scene by Franklin County EMS, the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, Talquin Electric Cooperative and the Hosford -Telogia VFD.
