Kinard, FL – Mary Odell Griffin, age 93, passed away Wednesday Oct. 25, 2023, in Blountstown.
Odell was born June 21, 1930, in Kinard to George Oron and Ruby Mae Hill.
She was a member of the William Memorial Methodist Church, where she loved going.
Odell also enjoyed reading, baking cakes, especially wedding cakes, and going to the Senior Citizens. Most of all, she truly loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Oron and Ruby Mae Hill; stepmother, Kathryn Hill Bullock; husband, Paul Griffin; daughter, Susan Griffin; brothers, Oron Hill, W.A. Hill, and Medford Hill and sister, Ione Tucker.
Odell is survived by her daughter, Sherry Edewaard and Barry of Blountstown; grandchildren, Jill Lilly, Kevin Edewaard and Annette, Kristopher Edewaard, Kyrah Varoli and Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Colten and Maybelline Lilly, Aidan Lilly, Dalton Lilly, Kynan Lilly, Alyssa Edewaard, Price Edewaard, Joel Edewaard, Lexia Varoli, Harrison Varoli, Warren Varoli, Hamilton Varoli, Carra Varoli; and several nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted but donations would be preferred to either Calhoun County Senior Citizens or Bethlehem Family Camp.
Services were held Oct. 28 at Williams Memorial Methodist Church, followed by interment at Williams Memorial Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.
