BRISTOL, FL – Harry “Bub” Leroy Herald, 80, passed away Jan. 5, 2024. He was born in Russell’s Point, OH to the late Melvin Leroy and Marrietta (Beach) Hereld on Nov. 4, 1943.

He was a faithful member/ordained minister to Southside Assembly of God in Blountstown. Bub was an Army Veteran and a truck driver, who was retired from the Liberty County Road and Bridge Department. He was a member of the Red Level Masonic Lodge 134.

He was passionate about playing guitar and serving his Lord, church, and family, especially his grandchildren who he renamed after their birth with a pet name.

He was married to his loving wife Eileen for 42 years.

He was preceded in death by six siblings, Clara Ostermyer, Sherry Dugan, Sondra Spires, Lila McKinley, William (Bill) McKinley, Roger McKinley and a nephew, Raymond Spires.

He is survived by his wife; sons Clint and Ashley Hereld of Bristol, James and Whitney Hereld of Blountstown and stepson Rodney Taylor of Lakeview, OH; Thirteen grandchildren, Jarred, Kaitlyn, Angelina, Jade, Selena, Caison, Jenna, Marleigh, Brantley, McKenzie, Gabrielle, Jaley, Harley; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Memorial services were scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 13 at 1 p.m. CT at Southside Assembly of God Church, located at  15164 SR 71 S in Blountstown, with Pastor William Timmins officiating.

All arrangements are being handled by Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.
