BLOUNTSTOWN, FL – Doris Irene Glass, 94 of Blountstown, passed away Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, in Blountstown. Doris was born October 14, 1929, in Live Oak to the late Samuel and Mardell Davis.
A hairdresser by trade, she had lived in Blountstown since 1958 and assisted her husband James in managing their plant nursery. She was a member of Christian Home Church in Blountstown. Painting was a true passion for her, and she also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband James; her brothers, Roscoe, Wendell and Thurman Davis as well as her sister, Ozelle Hill.
Survivors include her son Jimmy Glass and his wife Cindy of Chattahoochee; her daughter, Tami Capps and her husband Roger of Blountstown; her brother, Hural Davis of Live Oak; her sister, Jeanette Haney of Live Oak; her grandchildren Crista Shaffer and her husband Joshua, Clint Capps and his wife Lynn, Sabrina Ramirez, Jamie Smith, Christian Smith and Katrina Voight, Kristen Andler, Meagann McIntosh, Tyler McIntosh, and Brad McIntosh, Jr.; her great-grandchildren, J.C., Gretchen, Hayden, Lilly, Tye, Ellie, Violet, Maddox Dru, Jolie’, Bowen, Myles, Brady, and Olivia; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Services to honor Doris’ life will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 1, 2024, from the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in Nettle Ridge Cemetery.
