Blountstown man killed
after missing curve and
oversteering across road

BLOUNTSTOWN, FL – A 61-year-old man from Blountstown lost his life in a single vehicle crash last week, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The driver was traveling east on Southeast Anderson Road around 4:15 p.m. on June 29 when he failed to negotiate a curve to the left. His pickup went off the road and onto the grass shoulder. He then oversteered back to the left, which sent the vehicle rotating counter-clockwise before it begin traveling northeast.
The truck continued across the double yellow center line until it reached the north grass shoulder of Southeast Anderson Road, where it overturned onto its right side and came to final rest.
The accident report noted that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
