CLARKSVILLE, FL – Frances June Fant, age 68, of Clarksville, passed away on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024 in Marianna.
Frances was born on Feb. 24, 1956 in Ocilla, GA to J.D. Sellers and Loriner Birdell Whitehead Sellers. She had lived in Calhoun and Liberty counties for most of her life.
Frances worked as a caregiver for JCARC in Marianna. She not only cared about her patients, but also mothered those in the community and her family that needed help and attention or assistance.
She loved the Florida Gators Football Team, traveling with her sisters and trying new foods and new restaurants, canning vegetables, her dog Bubba, and mostly she adored her family. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Birdell Sellers, Brother Marvin Dale Sellers Sr., sisters Dianne Marie Chapman, Barbara Alford, Margaret Elizabeth Sellers and Deborah Ann Rose; mother-in-law Katheryn Pauline Fant; father-in-law Clarence Edward Fant; nieces Donna Louise Ellis and Robin Elizabeth Escobar; nephew Terrell Patrick Sellers; sisters-in-law Judy Lynn Danley and Audrey Carolyn Peddie and brothers-in-law Albert Lee Fant and William Edward Fant.
She is survived by her beloved husband whom she was with for over 46 years, Gene Fant of Clarksville, FL; brothers Johnny Sellers and wife Jonnie of Bristol and Jerry Sellers and wife Shirley of Dothan, AL; sister Connie Bivin and husband Larry of Mobile, AL; a slew of nieces and nephews along with good friends Judy Chason, Carl Eastman and Billy Fant.
Services were held on Monday, Oct. 28 at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown with Pastors Roger Cosson and Larry Rogers officiating. Interment followed at Old Shiloh Cemetery in Altha, FL.
Arrangements were under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home.
