HOSFORD, FL – Rileigh Taylor Powell, beloved by all who knew her, left this world to rest in the arms of her Savior on Nov. 2, 2024.
She was born on July 2, 1999 to Brian and Lisa Jo Sewell of Hosford.
Rileigh graduated from LCHS in 2017 and found her calling of nursing as an LPN in 2022. On Oct. 22, 2022 she married the love of her life, Tyler Powell. It was then she learned her true calling – mom. She became a bonus mom to Emma, whom she adored.
Rileigh is survived by her husband and bonus daughter Tyler and Emma Powell, her parents, Brian and Lisa Jo Sewell, and her brother and best friend, Brant. Her grandparents include Silas and Susie Summerlin, Gene and Vicky Coleman, and Clifford Sewell.
Rileigh inherited her love for the Florida Gators and NHRA racing from her Daddy. She inherited her love of travel from her mom. She was a true orange and blue Gator softball and football fan, an avid reader, and if Rileigh was not home, you could find her at Disney. She was blessed to have the opportunity to work at Bright Star Care where she cared for Knox Watson, whom she loved wholeheartedly. Rileigh left an incredible mark on everyone she met during her short but vibrant 25 years.
Her services will be held at Mt. Zion UPC in Hosford. Visitation will be on Thursday, Nov. 6 from 3:30-6:30 p.m. The service will be Friday, Nov. 7 at 10 a.m. with graveside to follow at Summerlin Family Cemetery in Telogia.
