Training offered
for volunteers toÂ
spend time with
hospice patients
TALLAHASSEE, FL – Heart’n Soul Hospice is new to the Big Bend area and looking for volunteers who want to spend 1-2 hours per week with our patients. Â
Volunteers are a valued and integral part of the Hospice Program. They work with patients and their families as they cope with the challenges that come with having a terminal illness.Â
Hospice volunteers have direct patient contact, help with tasks that relate to bereavement and provide administrative support. Volunteers who are military veterans connect with patients who are also veterans as part of the We Honor Veterans program.Â
Interested candidates should call Kayla April, Volunteer Coordinator at Heart’n Soul Hospice, at (850) 900-9540 or (850) 491-3949 to register for the next volunteer training.Â
Classes will begin in December 2024 and will be at our offices or through Teams, whichever is best for the volunteer. Our offices are at 2639 N. Monroe, Suite B112, in Tallahasse.
Together, we will make a difference in the care of the hospice patient! Â
