Quincy teens critically
injured when vehicle
hits them and leaves
GADSDEN COUNTY, FL –Â Two teenage boys suffered critical injuries yesterday afternoon when both were hit by a vehicle that ran off the road. The driver then fled the scene.
One of the boys is 13; the other is 16. Both are from Quincy.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, the two were walking along SR 267 at Makayla Lane around 5:18 p.m. on Dec. 28 when a vehicle traveling northbound on SR 267 left the road and struck both of them.
The injured boys were taken to Tallahassee Memorial Health with life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle involved in the crash was found abandoned in the area a short time later, according to FHP.
The investigation into the crash remains under investigation.
