JACKSON COUNTY, FL – On Friday, March 7, 2025, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) Narcotics Investigators arrested Lasonia Wesley after an investigation spanning several months.
On Nov. 11, 2024, JCSO Deputies responded to a storage unit located in Marianna and were informed that a unit, which employees knew to be vacant, had a lock on it. When employees removed the lock, they located 1,175.2 grams of MDMA, 31.8 grams of blue “M30” pills, a handgun with live ammunition, a digital scale, and two receipts from a local store. Deputies then turned the case over to JCSO Narcotics Investigators.
Investigators immediately began investigating and following up on leads regarding the case. They soon found out that Wesley called the storage unit asking where her belongings went. Employees told Wesley she did not have a storage locker rented, and her belongings had been removed from the locker.
Undercover Investigators made contact with Wesley over the phone, and she agreed to meet with them to retrieve her belongings on March 7. When she arrived, Wesley confirmed that the backpack and items inside belonged to her. She was then arrested.
Wesley was arrested and is being charged with Conspiracy to Traffick MDMA and Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance. the phone, and she agreed to meet with them to retrieve her belongings on March 7.
