Two killed in crash

ALTHA, FL – Two young Altha men were killed in a single-vehicle crash in Calhoun County Thursday evening.

The 23-year-old driver and his passenger, who was 22, were northbound on SR 73 around 9:30 p.m. when the pickup truck left the road as they approached a curve.

The truck traveled back onto the road and began rotating, overturning several times and going in the woods, according to the Florida Highway Patrol report.   Both men, who were not wearing seatbelts,  were ejected.

The truck came to rest upright on the east side of SR 73.
