JACKSON CO., FL – A 45-year-old Altha woman was killed Thursday morning in a motorcycle crash near Mile Marker 159.9 on Interstate 10 in Jackson County, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The vehicle, described as a Honda Rebel, was traveling eastbound on I-10 around 3:38 a.m. CT in the inside lane and negotiating a right curve.
The driver lost control of the motorcycle, which overturned onto its right side, ejecting her from the seat and causing fatal injuries, according to the FHP report.
The vehicle came to a stop straddling the eastbound inside and outside lanes, facing west.
The FHP report noted that she was wearing a helmet.
