2026 Swamp Gravy Shows

COLQUITT, GA – Folks who love Swamp Gravy should leave room for two helpings this year as Cotton Hall Theater in Colquitt, GA announces that their new season will dish up two editions of Georgia’s Official Folk Life Play.

MARCH – First up is Swamp Gravy: Kiss and Tell, featuring love stories new and old from your favorite local storytellers. Polite society says that you don’t kiss and tell, but these stories are too sweet not to. From high school sweethearts to secret weddings to falling in love at first sight, this play has it all—with a little extra thrown in. Swamp Gravy: Kiss and Tell is like your favorite romantic movies, only all these stories are true… proving that there is no better feeling than falling in love. From playwrights Debra Jones, Jules Corriere, Jo Carson, and Will Murdock, Swamp Gravy: Kiss and Tell will be performed in March only. That’s twelve chances to experience these stories before they are gone.

APRIL – Then in April, alongside the National Mayhaw Festival is a new play inspired by Colquitt’s famous fruit, The Mayhaw Radio Hour. The small community of Mayhaw Unincorporated has had a radio show for as long as they’ve been a town, but when a new owner buys the radio tower, it’s clear that this week’s show will be its last. The small-town talent must hatch a plan to make everyone tune into the next broadcast. Will their efforts be enough to save their hometown hour of music, gossip, and laughter? Gather ‘round and find out at The Mayhaw Radio Hour on April 17, 18, 24, or 25, 2026.

JUNE – The Youth Theater will travel to Oz from June 12, 13, 19, 20, 2026 as they bring to life The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition. Follow Dorthy, Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion down the yellow brick road as they learn, “there’s no place like home.”

AUGUST – August 14, 15, 21, 22, 2026 will bring with it a brand-new Cotton Hall Murder Mystery. Whodunnit? We don’t know. Only you can help us solve the mystery. Cotton Hall’s only dinner theater performance, this Murder Mystery is sure to leave you with belly laughs and full bellies as you deduce who the killer is.

OCTOBER – A second brand new helping of Georgia’s Official Folk Life Play will premiere in October with a new set of stories the cast “ain’t told yet!” That’s right! A completely different Swamp Gravy than the March show. The theme is still under wraps for now, but mark October 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 2026 on your calendar, because tickets will sell out fast.

And the year will wrap up with Elf: The Musical. When Buddy, the would-be elf, realizes he is actually a human, he must embark on a journey to New York City to get his birth father off the naughty list. Buddy is determined to win over his new family and spread Christmas cheer to New York City. After all, the best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear.
