BFD groundbreaking
Groundbreaking held for the
new Bristol Fire Department
BRISTOL, FL – The Bristol Fire Department had a groundbreaking ceremony Friday, Jan. 24, to mark the start of construction on the new Fire Station.
The fire station will have two new engine bays, a new common/training room, kitchen and decontamination room.
“Something that has been brought to the forefront of the fire service across the country is that we’re at an increased risk for cancer because of our exposure to chemicals,” said Chief Hobby, “So this station will have some of the new modern technology that allows firefighters to clean and decontaminate their gear after every call and being able to provide long term health and safety for our folks is paramount for our department.”
To the City Council members who supported this initiative; thank you for your foresight and your commitment to our community’s future.
To our State and Federal Agencies that funded this project, we thank you for going the extra mile with your support and your commitment as we see this dream to life.
Thank you to Madrid CPWG Engineering Consultant, CPWG Constructors and MLD Architects for working tirelessly to bring us to this moment.
